Provender, owned and operated by Justin & Christian Orde alongside lifelong friend and  Executive Head Chef Christian Edwardson, is a convivial haven for good times and contemporary Scottish, British and French Bistronomy.

Our food & drink is sourced from local, seasonal, ethical and sustainable suppliers across Scotland and the British Isles. When the time is right, the produce is right. Our food & drink is sourced from local, seasonal, ethical and sustainable suppliers across Scotland and the British Isles. Our menu alters daily to reflect the ever changing and developing seasons and cuisine that Provender provides. We have regular specials and highlighted dishes that showcase the best of each season’s fare.

We host a number of offers and menus through the course of the Provender Week (Wednesday to Sunday):

  • Sample Set Menu:  available Wednesday – Sunday Lunch, Thursday – Saturday Dinner time 6pm – 7pm

Our drinks programme fiercely supports ethically, sustainably and locally sourced produce. Our innovative bar team have crafted an exciting cocktail menu so you can enjoy the unique characteristics of these drinks in our comfortable surroundings.

We spend a lot of time working closely with our chefs to craft a wine list, which truly compliments our food offer. We’re always happy to provide recommendations. You can enjoy a flight of paired wines every Thursday alongside our supper club menus or alternatively navigate our diverse list at your own leisure.

Provender Prints:

The first Provender New Media Art Commission was awarded to Charlie McCulloch, an Illustrator, Animator andDigital Product Designer with family in the Scottish Borders.
McCulloch studied Fine Art Painting (BA.hons) at Grays School of Art before taking a Masters degree in Digital Media at Glasgow School of Art. Following this a career working across Europe on diverse projects and products such as Fan Duel and Sky Scanner has lead to him critiquing our relationship with handheld digital media through his own art work.

Events & Group bookings

Provender is available to book for events and special occasions. If you have a party of more than 6 guests then please contact us directly to book one of our spaces.

We have expertise in hosting birthday parties, weddings, wedding receptions and all sorts of Events for family and friends or business associates. Our main dining room comfortably seats fifty guests, with the option of up to 20 further seats in the bar lobby. The bar area and terrace serve as perfect reception areas for guests to gather before your private lunch or dinner.
